Dame Judi Dench has revealed she suffered a ‘frightful fall’ at her Surrey home and was stuck on the floor for 30 minutes.
The legendary actress, 87, told how she tripped over her carpet and amanbola was unable to get herself up, telling how she was forced to turn to her parrot for help as no one else was around.
Detailing the incident to Judi admitted that maintaining her independence as she gets older has become ‘very difficult.’

Recalling the accident, she explained: ‘I had a frightful fall not long ago. I tripped over the carpet, and there was nobody in the house and I was lying on the ground unable to get up for amanbola half an hour.’
With the actress stuck on her own, she’d been hopeful that her parrot may have been of assistance, but her pet bird turned out to be useless.
She added: ‘I have a wonderful parrot who kept saying, “What are you doing? What are you doing?” This is when you need a very convenient parrot who would phone somebody – but she didn’t.’

Luckily, the James Bond star recovered quickly and told how ‘I just got up’ after half an hour.
Judi lives four miles away from boyfriend David Mills, 77, while her daughter Finty Williams and grandson Sam are located nearby.
And despite her advancing years, the Belfast star told how she doesn’t have a panic alarm installed in her home should another incident occur, telling how she wan’t to hold on to her ‘independence’.

When asked about the alarm, she responded: ‘No, no, no. Nothing like that. It’s just something you have to live with. But you want to be independent – and it’s very, very difficult.’
While her fall left her struggling to raise herself from the floor, amanbola Judi recently revealed she’s been active, detailing how her grandson got her to do dance challenges on during a remote appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on NBC.
Speaking last week, she explained grandson Sam Williams came to where she lived during the beginning of the pandemic and said, ‘I think we ought to do a bit of TikTok.’
Judi said she told him that she was ‘absolutely hopeless at all those things’, but he told her not to worry and that they would rehearse.

She said after they rehearsed and filmed it that she asked him if he was going to put it out and he told her, ‘No, more rehearsal’.
‘He was a tyrant,’ she said.
Judi said she had never seen the finished result and Seth then showed the video of Judi and her grandson doing the Juice, Sauce, little bit of dressing Tik Tok dance to Yung Gravy’s song. Judi and Sam then went on to do other TikTok dancing challenges.
